Kristen’s Wednesday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

Another beautiful day on tap with sunshine, warm temps and mostly dry conditions on Wednesday. A few pop up storms may fire over the higher terrain, however, the storm count will be low. The majority of us will stay dry underneath a mostly sunny sky.

High pressure will continue to stay locked over the state, blocking any sort of weather-makers from moving into the area. Expect sunshine and above average temps to take us all the way into the weekend. The exception? A few spot mountain storms.

We’re also continuing to keep a close eye on the East Coast as Hurricane Florence continues its west-northwest trek towards the Carolinas. Landfall is now likely in North Carolina late Thursday into Friday. Threats: life-threatening storm surge (up to 13′), heavy rainfall (+20″), strong winds (+74mph) and catastrophic flooding. Be sure to stay up-to-date with KRQE for the latest on Hurricane Florence.
