Afternoon highs will be cooler than what was felt Monday as highs drop to the low 70s in the ABQ-metro (just a couple degrees below seasonal average for this time of year). Winds will generally range 5-15mph, closer to the 15mph mark by late afternoon.

WEDNESDAY: A handful of showers will linger near the northern stateline… but the majority of us can expect to see a mostly sunny and dry sky. Afternoon temps will be a few degrees warmer leaving most locales near average for ths time of year (60s, 70s and 80s).

THURSDAY: An incoming backdoor cold front will allow a few spotty storms to develop near the high country. Afternoon temps will cool slightly in eastern NM… with little to no effect in central and western areas. The majority of us will close out the day with mostly clear skies.

FRIDAY: Gulf moisture being pulled into eastern NM will fuel another round of showers and storms in eastern NM Friday afternoon. Mostly sunny and dry skies will be found further west. Afternoon highs will be near to above average — expect temps to top out in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
