Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

TUESDAY: Another mild day for western and central NM with afternoon highs well into the 50s, 60s and 70s. Eastern NM will battle low clouds and reduced visibility through mid-morning before clouds mix out and mostly sunny skies takover. Afternoon highs will still fall 10°-20° short of normal in the Eastern Plains… but at least we’ll be warmer than what was felt Monday. No significant rain or snow chances to mention of Tuesday and winds will generally stay light (10-15mph).

FREEZING FOG ADVISORY in effect for the Northeast Highlands until 8AM Tuesday.

WEDNESDAY: Our next storm will approach from the west, spreading out more clouds and wind as it makes its arrival. Spotty showers will break out over southern CO initially before spreading into northwest and northern NM late Wednesday into Thursday. Breezy to windy conditions will be favorable. Perhaps the best part of the day will be the warm temps! Widespread 50s, 60s, 70s are expected with ABQ likely to see its first 70° of 2019.

THURSDAY: Spotty rain and high mountain snow will continue over northern NM and southern CO. The majority of us further south (including ABQ) will see a mix of sun and clouds and another round of breezy to windy conditions. Afternoon highs will be near to above seasonal averages statewide.

FRIDAY: A stronger storm will arrive on Friday taking a deeper track through the state and tapping into a bit more moisture. Expect rain and snow showers to spread out over northern, central and western NM with strong winds accompanying this storm. Afternoon temperatures will remain mild in most locales before dropping 5°-15° on Saturday.
