Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

Morning storms in the Southeast Plains will continue to fade and push south through sunrise. More storms are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon — this time around favoring the higher terrain of western and northern NM. Like what unfolded Monday afternoon, storm motion will be from north to south giving lower elevations surrounding the mountains a shot at an isolated storm or two. There is potential for storms to turn severe — threats: hail, damaging winds & flooding. Afternoon highs will warm back into the 70s and 80s in most locales — near to below average for this time of year.

A disturbance rolling in from the north will help increase storm coverage on Wednesday. Expect increasing rain chances to stretch through this weekend. Afternoon highs will warm back into the lower 90s in the Albuquerque-metro area Wednesday through Sunday.
