Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

An exciting day of weather changes for New Mexico as a strong cold front makes it’s arrival. The front will start in the northeast and push southwest across the state throughout the day. Northeast NM will see a drop in temperatures Tuesday while the majority of us can expect a more noticeable cool down Wednesday. Showers and storms will favor the mountains and areas along the eastern slopes Tuesday afternoon before spreading out overnight into Wednesday.

In addition to cooler temps and showers, gusty winds will accompany the cold front with strong east canyon winds ramping up late Tuesday into early Wednesday. Expect gusts to near 45mph in the ABQ-metro.

Thursday and Friday will feature more quiet weather as high pressure builds back in over the state. More sunshine, a gradual warm up and light winds can be expected nearly statewide.
