Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

An active start to our Tuesday as a line of thunderstorms organizes southwest of the ABQ-metro. This cluster of storms is moving northeast and likely to bring pockets of heavy rain and lightning to parts of the Rio Grande Valley for the morning commute.

More widespread rain and thunderstorms will move in throughout the day as a Pacific storm slides over the area. This storm is being fueled by subtropical moisture being pulled off of CAT 4 Hurricane Willa off the southwest coast of Mexico. These showers and storms will continue on and off overnight into the first half of our Wednesday. Rain chances will favor central and eastern NM Wednesday morning and early afternoon before clearing later in the evening.

Northwest flow aloft will dry us out late week into the weekend. Expect more sunshine and warmer temps to build in through Sunday.
