A mostly quiet and pleasant Tuesday ahead with sunshine, mild temperatures and dry conditions expected statewide. Afternoon highs will climb back into the 50s, 60s and 70s under a mostly sunny sky. No rain or snow is expected.
An incoming cold front will back into the Northeast Plains late Tuesday into Wednesday. This front will push further south and west through the day, cooling temperatures in its wake. Afternoon highs will mostly stick to the 50s and 60s. Light freezing drizzle, rain and snow showers are possible behind the front as well — primarily in the morning hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Another cold front will make its arrival late Thursday, dropping temperatures across western NM to finish the work week. This second front will be a dry front, however, so sunshine will hold for western and central NM.
