A quiet day in store Tuesday with mostly sunny skies blanketing temps in the 30s, 40s and 50s. Winds will generally stay light (5-15mph) and the state will stay clear of any rain or snow as high pressure remains in control.
High clouds will continue streaming over the state on Wednesday afternoon, all ahead of our next big weather maker. Changes arrive late Thursday into Friday as our next storm moves onshore the West Coast. Expect showers in the form of rain and snow to spread over western and central NM. An incoming backdoor cold front will get eastern NM in on the action with wintry mix showers expected on Friday. Accumulating ice may make for difficult driving within the Eastern Plains later this week — be sure to keep it on KRQE for updates.
