Rain and higher elevation snow will continue to push west to east across southern NM as a storm system clears the area Tuesday. Expect gradual clearing to get underway through the day with sunshine dominating after the storm’s departure. Afternoon highs will be near to above average across the state — expect Tuesday’s temps to be in the 40s and 50s in most locales. Breezy conditions will take hold by late afternoon.

Stronger winds are expected Wednesday with strong northwest flow over the state. Expect gusts to near 45-50mph in the mountains and sustained winds between 20-30mph. No rain or snow is expected midweek to early weekend as high pressure builds over the area. Afternoon highs will stay near to above normal through Friday.
