Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

A colder day on tap Tuesday with afternoon highs dropping below average across NM. From Monday’s 55° in ABQ, expect temps to only reach the mid-40s down the Rio Grande Valley. Most of the state will only see temps in the 30s, 40s and 50s. A mostly cloudy sky will blanket the state with no widespread rain or snow expected.

Wednesday through Friday will feature a gradual warming trend with more 50s and 60s expected across the state. Enough moisture being pulled into the southwest corner may trigger a few isolated showers over the high country, however, coverage and intesnity will be limited. Majority of us will finish the week with a mostly sunny sky on top.

Models are now coming into better agreement on a pattern change taking over for the upcoming weekend. As the area of persistent high pressure thats been keeping the storm track to far north begins to break down, the track will be allowed to sink south bringing storms into the southwest U.S. The first storm could arrive as early as this weekend bringing rain, snow and more wind to NM.
