Kristen’s Thursday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

THURSDAY: A mostly cloudy and cool start to the day with showers lingering in the Northern Mountains. Rain and snow showers will continue to favor the northern high terrain through the day Thursday with a few spot showers possible elsewhere. More storms and rain showers are expected to fill in over western NM late day… pushing further into the state Thursday night into Friday. Afternoon highs will be even cooler than what we felt earler in the week with the Albuquerque-metro only in the low to mid-60s — more than 10° below average for this time of year. Breezy conditions out of the east will be noticeable Thursday afternoon… but hold on tight as strong winds gusting over 50mph are likely overnight in the Rio Grande Valley.

FRIDAY: Widespread wetting rain and mountain snow can be expected on Friday. It’ll likely shape up to be one of those “on & off” all day rain events — be sure to keep the umbrella on stand-by. Afternoon temperatures will really take a hit as most of us won’t come near seasonal averages — expect widespread 40s & 50s in most locales.

WEEKEND: More rain, isolated thunderstorms and mountain snow on tap for Saturday and Sunday. Afternoon temps (although a little warmer) will still be cooler than average for this time of year (40s, 50s and 60s).
