Kristen’s Thursday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

THURSDAY: As our midweek storm continues to trek east, counterclockwise flow around the low pressure system will bring cool air into the state. Northwest flow will keep our temps in the 40s, 50s and 60s — near 10° below average for this time of year. There will be just enough moisture to allow showers to develop in the Northern & Central Mountains, pushing east into the northeast highlands later in the day (no major accumulation). Expect winds to be lighter than what was felt Wednesday but still breezy at times.

FRIDAY: Our next weather maker will approach from the west on Friday. Spotty showers will develop near the western stateline early in the day before rain/snow pushes further east into central and southern NM. Afternoon highs will still fall short of average with the ABQ-metro area finishing the week in the 50s.

SATURDAY: Leftover rain and snow will favor central and eastern NM while drier conditions move in further west. Temperatures will remain below normal for one more day before a warm-up kicks in late weekend.
