Kristen’s Thursday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

Drier air continuing to punch in from the west will push moisture further south and east resulting in fewer storms Thursday afternoon. Instability will not be as great as what we were working with earlier in the week… so Thursday’s severe threat will be lower. Still keep an eye on these storms as they’ll likely be packing lightning, heavy rain and small hail.

Afternoon highs will be the big story as temps will climb well above average by this weekend. Albuquerque will see temps in the upper 80s for one more afternoon (Thursday) before breaking the 90° mark Friday and Saturday.

Winds will be light to finish the week, although, are likely to return for the start of the weekend. Breezy to windy conditions are expected Saturday afternoon… raising concerns for fire danger in parts of NM.
