Kristen’s Thursday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

An active day ahead with scattered to widespread storms and showers across New Mexico on Thursday. Wednesday night’s cold front brought enough moisture to stretch rain chances nearly statewide Thursday afternoon and evening. Biggest concern with Thursday’s storms will be the potential for heavy rain as storm motion will be slow (5-10mph) and will increase our chances of seeing a lot of rain in a localized area. Expect temperatures to be about 5° cooler than what was felt midweek, leaving most of us in the 80s and 90s.

Widespread storms will continue Friday, keeping temperatures on the cooler side to finish the week. Drier air will begin working in from the north over the weekend, limiting storm coverage. Recycled moisture over the mountains will keep storms and showers in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
