Kristen’s Monday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

MONDAY: A mostly quiet start to the day with the only concern being developing fog in northeast NM. Morning temperatures in the 40s, 50s and low 60s will warm well into the 70s, 80s and 90s across the state late day. A mix of sunshine and high clouds will blanket the area with most staying dry and breezy. There’s potential for a few isolated storms near the eastern stateline — be cautious of these storms as they could be strong to severe (threats: large hail & damaging wind). Breezy to windy conditions will be noticeable after the lunch hour (southerly winds ranging 10-20mph).

TUESDAY: Another round of breezy to windy conditions will take hold Tuesday afternoon with slightly cooler temps (down 5°-10° from Monday). Our next weather maker arriving from the west will allow spotty to scattered showers to develop over northern and western NM Tuesday afternoon. The rest of us further east will see warm temps, breezy winds and a mix of sun and clouds.

MIDWEEK: Rain and thunderstorm chances will continue to increase across the state with our next storm + cold front combo. Afternoon temperatures will be much cooler mid- to late week with highs 5°-15° cooler than normal for this time of year.
