Kristen’s Monday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

MONDAY: A mostly quiet start to the day with only a few light rain showers in the far southeast corner of NM. We’ll start the new work week with spotty to scattered storms favoring the higher terrain Monday afternoon. There’s potential for stray storms to drift into surrounding lower elevations, however, coverage will be limited (isolated storm, if at all, possible in the ABQ-metro). Afternoon temperautres will warm into the 50s, 60s & 70s statewide while winds generally stay between 5-15mph out of the north/northwest.

TUESDAY: Another round of spotty mountain storms will develop Tuesday afternoon, however, fewer storms are expected compared to Monday’s storm crop. High pressure building in from the west will give way to more sunshine and warmer temps (more 70s & 80s).

MIDWEEK: Expect mostly sunny conditions, near to above average temps (70s & 80s) and a few isolated mountain storms.

LATE WEEK: Our seasonal ‘dry line set-up’ looks to take shape late week. Details are still a bit fuzzy but it’s likely that storm chances will return to eastern NM by Thursday/Friday. The majority of us can expect cooler temps & an uptick in winds by Thursday afternoon.
