Kristen’s Monday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

An active start to the work week as scattered storms and showers are likely to develop Monday afternoon. You’ll want to keep an eye on these developing storms as there is a chance for storms to reach strong to severe levels. Top threats with any developed storms will be large hail and damaging winds. There is potential for isolated tornadoes, although, hail and wind look to be more of an issue.

As a storm system over California gradually pushes east, storm chances will follow. Expect another round of strong to potentially severe storms to develop over eastern NM on Tuesday afternoon while drier air begins to punch in out west.

Rain and thunderstorm chances will continue to push further east on Wednesday, mainly lining the TX/NM stateline by midweek. As drier air and sunshine begin to overtake the state, expect temperatures to climb through week’s end.
