Kristen’s Monday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

A mild morning will give way to a hot afternoon with widespread 80s and 90s expected on Monday. Spotty to scattered storms will develop Monday afternoon, stretching from southwest to northeast NM. An incoming cold front will dive into northeast NM mid-day Monday, brining an influx of moisture and acting as a trigger for scattered storms. There is potential for storms in northern and northeastern NM to turn severe on Monday — threats: hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

More storms and showers are expected Tuesday afternoon, helping to shave a couple degrees off high temperatures. Late Wednesday through the start of the weekend will favor scattered to widespread storms and showers across New Mexico as a cold front recharges moisture and high pressure pushes west into the Great Basin. Temperatures will gradually decrease through Saturday.
