Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

FRIDAY: A mostly clear and quiet start to the day with morning temperatures in the 40s, 50s and 60s. Afternoon highs will climb well into the 60s, 70s and 80s — near average for this time of year. The big story will be the chance for storms out east as moisture continues to fill in near the TX/NM stateline. There is potential for storms to be strong to severe — top threats: hail and damaging winds. Those within central and western NM will see sunshine and dry conditions.

SATURDAY: Another day of sunshine for western NM… while those in the east face another round of storms. Severe storms are possible within northeast and east-central NM — be sure to stay up-to-date with us through the weekned. Afternoon highs will be nothing to worry about as temps climb well into the 70s and low 80s in the ABQ-metro.

SUNDAY: The risk continues for storms near the eastern stateline. Those within central and western NM will see another day of sunshine. Temperatures will be warmer statewide (Albuquerque: 81°).

NEXT WEEK: We’ll start our next work week with mostly sunny skies, dry and breezy to windy conditions. Afternoon temperatures wil remain warm Monday and Tuesday before dropping midweek.
