Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Video Forecast

FRIDAY: Mountain snow showers will continue to wrap up in the Northern Mountains with gradual clearing already underway elsewhere. A mix of sun and clouds will blanket the state with afternoon highs slightly warmer than Thursday (40s, 50s and 60s). Breezy east canyon winds in the ABQ-metro this morning will relax to 10-15mph late today.

SATURDAY: A small dip in the jet stream will pull in moisture over southern NM, allowing spotty showers to develop in the afternoon and evening. A mix of rain and snow is expected south of I-40 with drier conditions north. Albuquerque will likely see an uptick in cloud cover but no significant rain chances expected at this point in time. Temperatures will be cooler in the south… but the warming trend will stay on track across northern and central NM.

SUNDAY: We’ll close out the weekend with more sunshine, warmer temps and dry conditions. Afternoon highs will near 60° in Downtown Albuquerque with light winds in the valley (5-15mph).

EARLY NEXT WEEK: Another small disturbance could trigger a few spotty showers in the Four Corners region late Monday into Tuesday. The majority of us further south and east can expect a quiet and mild start to the next work week.
