Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

Rain, snow and wintry mix showers will continue to push northeast across the state Friday morning. Snow in the higher elevations and a rain/icy mix in the valleys/lower elevations will cause difficult driving conditions on Friday. On and off showers are expected to continue through Friday afternoon with most favorable coverage in the high country and southern NM. With showers and abundant clouds, Friday’s warm up will only result in 30s and 40s across the state.

Overnight Friday into Saturday, rain will convert to snow. Heaviest snow accumulation will be found in the mountains and Southeast Plains. Even the ABQ-metro could wake up to an inch or so. This storm will clear out late Saturday leaving behind a clear, sunny and cold Sunday.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect:
— until 6AM Saturday for northwest NM // snow: 1-3″ below 7500ft and 3-5″ above 7500ft
— until 12PM Saturday for southeast NM // snow: 1-4″ and up to 0.1″ ice
