Kristen’s Friday Evening Forecast

Weather Video Forecast

FRIDAY: We’ll finish off the work week with Friday evening temps in the 60s and 70s under a mostly clear sky.

WEEKEND: High pressure will remain a big influencer over the weekend with the majority of us staying dry and warm. Spot storms will once again be possible over the higher terrain both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Another piece of the weekend weather puzzle will be a tropical disturbance that continues to push onshore coastal Texas Friday. Some of this moisture will reach the far southeast corner of NM… giving way to low clouds and fog in portions of the Plains. If we’re lucky, we could squeeze out a few spot showers Saturday and Sunday afternoon, however, coverage and intensity will be limited.

NEXT WEEK: We’ll start the new work week with unseasonably warm temps and sunshine across the state… but our pattern looks to change by midweek. A storm system digging to our west with high pressure scooting east will allow moisture to sneak north into the state. It looks like spotty to scattered storms (and cooler temps!) could return to the state by Wednesday — details to come as we get closer.
