The moisture across the state will continue to get scoured out Wednesday, making for a dry and hot 4th of July for most of the state. There will be enough moisture left for a few storms to fire off the central mountain chain. Similar to the past couple of days, expect those storms to slowly drift east off the mountains.
More moisture gets pulled into the state for Thursday and Friday, helping increase the showers and storm coverage across much of the state. With more cloud cover and moisture, expect afternoon highs to drop near or slightly below average. The storm coverage will back off over the weekend, with the best shot returning to the high terrain.
