A weak weather disturbance will brush southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico Friday. This will help enhance showers and storms across New Mexico, especially across the north. Some storms could deliver heavy rainfall, leading to localized flooding.
A ridge of high pressure edges into the state over the weekend. This will help dry out the state, limiting spot storms to the high terrain. Temperatures will also heat up to above average. The high will back off again next week, allowing for more back door cold front to enhance storm chances by the middle of next week.
