Most of the showers and storms this evening will diminish heading into the overnight. One exception will be the northeast where a few showers could continue into Monday morning. Monday will feature more showers and storms across the state, especially along and west of the central mountain chain. Eastern New Mexico will have a shot a few spot storms.
Expect fewer and fewer storms with each passing day as a ridge of high pressure builds back into the state from the east. As the air dries out, temperatures will heat up, reaching the mid-90s in Albuquerque by the end of the week. Temperatures across the south will climb into the 100s.
