Expect the storms across the state to diminish once again heading into the overnight hours. Tuesday will feature more storms, but the coverage will be limited to northern and western New Mexico. A ridge of high pressure will work into the southeast, resulting in fewer storms there.
The drying trend continues for the middle and latter part of the workweek. Storms will become confined to the northern and western high terrain. As the rest of the state dries out, temperatures will heat up to well above average. Albuquerque will reach the mid 90s by Wednesday, while the southeast warms to the 100s.
