Much of the state will have better shower and storm chances throughout this week. The northeast will have a better shot at storms starting this afternoon and evening as a back door cold front moves into the state. Some storms across the northeast could be severe. The high terrain and northeast will be favored for storms through Tuesday.
A second, more potent cold front moves in on Wednesday. This front will make more progress across the state, expanding storm coverage to much of New Mexico for the latter half of the week. The cold front will also pull temperatures below average heading into the upcoming weekend.
