NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Isolated strong thunderstorms will drift into the eastern plains tonight. It’ll be gusty near dusk with a few outflows here and there, but no rain is forecast for the Rio Grande Valley.
The heatwave begins tomorrow with a monster high pressure system developing directly over New Mexico. Temperatures will be near record setting by the weekend. Fire weather is concerning this week as west winds are expected to occasionally flare up.
