West winds will persist into Wednesday. These dry winds are breaking apart the thunderstorms in the mountains. A new line of storms will march towards the Texas border this afternoon. These storms will produce small hail and could become severe once they get close to Texas. A backdoor cold front will cool the eastern plains slightly on Thursday. Temperatures in the metro will be very comfortable this week.
We finally get some Gulf moisture to play with on Friday. We’ll likely see some thunderstorms over the central mountain chain and some isolated storms in the plains. There will be storm chances out east into the weekend.
