The northwest winds will finally die down as we get ready for our next low-pressure system. This storm will have icy impacts for locations 7,000’ and higher. Showers will be spotty on Friday except for persistent showers in the northern mountains. The highlight of the storm will be the backdoor cold front late Friday night. This will reinforce cold and in snow in the Sangre Foothills and bring harsh wind to the eastern plains.
After this three day stretch of clouds, the sun saves the day on Sunday. Temperatures will climb back to seasonable values. We have another storm Tuesday night that will have a good chance at bringing some metro rain. We know the temperatures won’t be as cold this round.
