Showers in the northern mountains will gradual taper off as thunderstorms in southwest and southeast New Mexico become more likely. Severe weather appears most likely in Texas tonight, but we’ll keep an eye on Eddy and Lea Counties for the strongest storms in New Mexico. Cloud cover will be brief tomorrow morning. The sun will quickly warm up temperatures and melt the snow off the high terrain pines. Most of the mountains will get a shower by 5 pm Wednesday.
Mountain showers will be reserved for the Jemez and Sangre ranges starting Thursday as disturbances slice through the central Rockies. Temperatures will be noticeably warmer on Thursday. Most of New Mexico will enjoy calm, warm, and sunny weather through the weekend.
