Today’s high pressure will give us calm winds and a nice warming trend into the weekend. Temperatures will build even more on Saturday with southerly flow returning along with an increase of moisture. Saturday evening will bring at least some showers to the northern and western mountains. It looks cloudier in Albuquerque Saturday. I’ll hold off on rain chances for the metro until the models are more consistent.
As the weak disturbance exits, Sunday will be drier and slightly cooler. A much larger system will dig into New Mexico Tuesday night. This will likely bring rain to the mountains and eastern plains. We also need more time to pinpoint this forecast. The intensity of this low pressure system still isn’t quite clear.
