West winds might make an appearance in Albuquerque this afternoon. Temperatures will be above average today with some places in the 80s down south. It’s safe to call Monday perfect. The winds will be calm across the state to go with similarly warm temperatures. Tuesday allows for some Gulf moisture to form a few showers in eastern New Mexico. The southerly flow will sustain the mild weather.
Thursday and Friday have elevated fire weather concerns with the west winds flaring up. This weekend brings unsettled weather. Friday night a low will slam into the Rockies. A backdoor cold front will slide down the central mountain chain on Saturday bringing some late season snow to the northeast. Most areas on the Rio Grande or west will mainly be impacted by wind.
