Showers will stay in the mountains north of I-40 today as a low passes through southern New Mexico. Rain totals will be nominal unless you’re directly impacted by a thunderstorm. A couple of storms in southeast New Mexico could produce large hail around 5 or 6 pm.
Monday and Tuesday will bring another round of mountain showers. It’ll become increasingly unlikely for the valleys to pick up measurable amounts of rain. Temperatures will be back to average by Tuesday. The next storm will track farther north. This will bring a classic case of spring wind on Friday some precipitation in the northern mountains.
