Easter is still on track to be a beauty. Winds will switch on in the afternoon, which will be welcomed for the warm weather in southern New Mexico. A backdoor cold front strikes the eastern slopes at 2 pm tomorrow. Along with the winds, this will spark showers in the mountains. These showers will travel northeast and produce thunderstorms. We will likely see some large hail and strong winds within some of these thunderstorms near Roosevelt County.
The severe threat is much lower on Tuesday. The shower coverage will much more widespread, however. This will be by far our coolest day of the week. Temperatures bounce back to above average by Thursday.
