A small dent in the jet stream will give the northern mountains another chance at flurries tonight. Clouds will build in the north over the course of the day. Temperatures will reach seasonable values. The best time for snow showers in the mountains will be from 10 pm to 4 am. We can’t rule out some icy spots on the Raton Pass before sunrise.
Temperatures will gradually warm through Wednesday because of ample sunshine. A large cold front will sweep through Thursday bringing temperatures down 10 to 20 degrees statewide. Rain and snow chances will be exclusively for the northern mountains and northeast highlands. Next weekend will be dry, calm, and cool. We’ll have to remain patient for the next big storm in New Mexico.
