It will be much sunnier for the next several days. A ridge will cut off our plume of subtropical moisture. At the same time, drier air from the west will push into New Mexico. It will not be possible for most of Western and Central New Mexico to see any showers. The eastern third will have a couple of exceptions as a cold front exits on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Temperatures will also rise as the Texas high pressure moves on top of us and clears the sky.
This upcoming weekend should bring back the moisture. Much like this weekend, we can expect mountain showers and at least some valley thunderstorms.
