Storms will die down by midnight across the state. Storms will be possible on Monday. The Sacramento Mountains will be poised to pop thunderstorms up. Some of the eastern plains could support a thunderstorm, but convection will be mainly in high terrain. In a similar fashion, storms will be mainly featured in high terrain on Tuesday as dry air continues to move west to east.
Later in the week, the high pressure continues to build over New Mexico. Despite the moisture in the air, the atmosphere will be too stable for convection and subsequent thunderstorms. We’ll notice some above average highs. Upper elevation cities might get some “fall-ish” morning lows later in the week too. Dry air will help some cities get into the 30s.
