Never ending fire season

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – High pressure will inch closer to New Mexico and raise temperatures across the state for the rest of the week. Fire weather will be heightened tomorrow with occasional 30 mph gusts in central New Mexico.

The next pattern change will be even more concerning for fire weather on Saturday and Sunday. Winds will be strongest on Sunday bringing cooler air. Winds may be strong enough to kick up dust given how dry the state is.
