Winter weather will continue in the eastern plains today as cold air pushes into New Mexico. The snow will be heaviest along the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristos. The southern Sangres will likely be the big snow winners today. Snow will also make its way to Edgewood and a big chunk of I-25. Rain will be possible in the metro despite most of the long-range models. There will be widespread, small showers in the early afternoon which may produce lightning.
A high pressure expands over the southwest tomorrow. Temperatures will build into Monday. There will be another cold front Tuesday night with the potential for scattered precipitation. This storm will be considerably warmer.
