Light precipitation over the mountains will continue all weekend. The valleys will finally get some sunbreaks, along with isolated showers in the afternoon. Thunderstorms are looking most promising in Las Vegas, otherwise today’s showers will be routine. Mother’s Day will be sunnier and warmer in Albuquerque. On-and-off showers will cross through southern New Mexico leading into a wet Monday morning. Over an inch of rain will fall between Sunday and Monday near Chaves County.
There will be just enough moisture to get afternoon mountain showers every day. Temperatures will climb back to average by Wednesday.
