We’ll have blue skies over Albuquerque Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will be noticeably warmer the next several days. Tuesday allows for some Gulf moisture to flow into the eastern plains. This will result in a few mountain showers and possibly some isolated thunderstorms. The chance for severe weather is low.
The end of the work week brings very dry air. Spring time is fire season in the Land of Enchantment. Thursday and Friday will illustrate this well. We’ll have elevated winds, dry fuels, and warm temperatures. A large low pressure system slams Colorado Saturday night. Models keep inching the storm south, but it looks like it’ll just bring some wind and cooler temperatures to Albuquerque. We’ll be watching for snow potential in the northern mountains.
