Showers will be much tamer as we head into sunset. Almost all the rain will be done by midnight. Tomorrow is straightforward. It’ll be a warm and sunny day across the region with a dry southwest flow.
Things get more interesting on Monday. A pacific system will cut into western New Mexico. Showers could produce small hail or lightning. Showers will struggle to push south and will mainly affect areas north of I-40. Separately, there will be quite a bit of available instability in the southeast corner of the state. If a thunderstorm starts, these could quickly become severe before they cross into Texas. Tuesday will be the best chance of rain for the metro. We won’t wait long for another low pressure system. Active weather looks likely next weekend.
