A sharp cold front is carving through the Rockies and Great Plains today. The cold front will gradually sweep southwest over the next 24 hours. Once we add some daytime heating, thunderstorms will erupt along the central mountain chain. The best chance for rain all week in Albuquerque will be tonight around 7 pm. Chances for rain tomorrow will be less in the metro. Meanwhile, rain will be heavy in some parts of the eastern plains. Temperatures tomorrow will be drastically cooler across the state. The biggest temperature swings will be in the eastern plains where it will continue to be cloudy and miss out on any diurnal heating.
Thursday brings back a high pressure and clears the skies. Temperatures will yet again be unseasonably warm. This weekend bring some moisture. It’ll be barely enough to pop up isolate showers south. Mainly dry and sunny weather starting Thursday.
