Weather in the metro will be strikingly similar to yesterday. Temperatures statewide will be 3 to 10 degrees above average. Finding a shower will be difficult. Isolated showers may form on mountains in south central New Mexico. These showers will have a short lifespan. It’s feasible for showers to form over the east or even the north mountains tomorrow evening. There’s a chance they could impact the interstates. Severe weather is unlikely.
The pattern continues through Tuesday. The high pressure over New Mexico restricts whatever available moisture might be throughout the atmosphere. However, the high may drift enough Wednesday to allow scattered showers. This appears to be ABQ’s best shot at actually getting rain this week. At the very least, we have cooler temperatures to look forward to starting Thursday.
