Below average temperatures are in the forecast for Tuesday for all of New Mexico. Low-40s for the metro and low-50s for southern parts of the state. Northern parts of the state will remain in the 30s. Mostly cloudy skies will dominitae the forecast today but don’t expect any rain or snow.
Wednesday through Friday will feature a gradual warming trend with more 50s and 60s expected across the state. Enough moisture being pulled into the southwest corner of the state may trigger a few isolated showers over the high country but the majority of New Mexico will remain dry.
The drier pattern should change by late week into the weekend as a series of storms move off the Pacific into New Mexico. There are still questions as to how strong each storm will be and which areas will see the greatest impacts, but these details can be ironed out once we get closer to the weekend and as confidence in a solution increases.
