January 3rd 2019 – The upper-low that heavily impacted New Mexico and southern Colorado has moved into southern Oklahoma this afternoon, and sunshine is left behind but so are the chilly temperatures. Afternoon highs will remain below average statewide but will be a few degrees warmer than Wednesday.
Friday will look and feel very similar to today but temperatures will go up a few more degrees. The Albuquerque-metro area will warm back into the 40s.
The next big weather maker will arrive late Saturday into Sunday bringing rain and snow back to the state. Showers will break out near the western stateline Saturday night, then push further into the state by Sunday. This system is warmer so it will be a mix of rain and snow. This storm will move out by early Monday as a weak ridge builds in.
