High pressure sliding over the state with help warm temperatures near to above average over the next several afternoons. Expect Albuquerque’s afternoon temps to push low 60s on Tuesday… eventually climbing to the mid-70s by Thursday. Mostly to partly sunny conditions will blanket the state through midweek.
Winds will be relatively light over the next coming days… that is until our next scraper storm moves in late Thursday. Expect winds to increase Thursday into Friday, consequently, raising fire danger concerns late week as well. Those within northwest NM and southern CO will be favored for a brief bout of rain and high mountain snow on Thursday.
The mentioned storm will clear the state for the weekend leaving behind a mix of sun and clouds and mild temperatures Saturday and Sunday.
