Kristen’s Tuesday Morning Forecast

Weather

Sunshine and high clouds will blanket the state Tuesday afternoon with high pressure in control. Expect high temperatures to warm above Monday’s readings (and in many areas, above seasonal averages!) with 60s, 70s and  80s stretching from stateline to stateline. Tuesday’s winds look to be lightest with speeds less than 15mph for most of the day in the Albuquerque-metro.

Changes begin to kick in Wednesday with breezy to windy conditions returning to the state. This week’s warming trend will peak Wednesday afternoon with Albuquerque’s temp topping out in the low 80s and highs in the 90s in the Southeast Plains! Mostly sunny conditions will linger through late week.

Winds will rip across the state Thursday with gusts likely to top +55mph. Red Flag Warnings are set to take effect both Wednesday and Thursday due to strong winds combining with dry conditions, resulting in critical fire danger.

Cooler air pouring in with our spring storm will drop temperatures 15°-25° across New Mexico… leaving most of us in the 40s and 50s to finish the work week.
