A quiet start to the day with morning temperatures in the 40s, 50s and 60s under a mostly clear sky. Afternoon highs will be warmer than what was felt Monday with most climbing back into the 70s, 80s and 90s. The exception will be the Northeast Plains where a cold front will cool temperatures and possibly trigger a handful of scattered showers and storms. There is potential for isolated severe storms in the mix — threats: large hail and damaging winds.
What little moisture the front brings in Tuesday will quickly clear the state by Wednesday afternoon. Expect a mostly sunny sky and warmer temperatures to stretch statewide midweek.
